That’s why we’re shining a light on nutrition with simple, easy-to-read ratings right on our participating store shelves. Guiding Stars’ patented algorithms read food labels and measure every product using established nutrition science. If a product meets our transparent criteria, it earns a 1, 2, or 3-star rating for good, better, or best nutrition. It’s that easy! 

Here’s how it works: 

1.    Read - First, we read the nutrition labels for every product in the grocery store.
2.    Measure - Then we objectively measure each product using established nutrition science.
3.    Rate - If a product meets our transparent nutrition criteria, it earns a 1, 2, or 3-star rating for Good, Better, or Best nutrition.
