The rise of plant-based eating: Trends, product marketing and the vegan consumer

Join RDBA and Earth Balance for a continuing education webinar on October 29th at 1:00pm MT.  The webinar will outline current plant-based eating trends, identify who the vegan consumer is, vegan shopping habits, the transition of vegan from natural to grocery and product marketing. The webinar will also highlight specific case studies showing how specific retailers have latched onto plant-based brands, and share marketing tactics to connect with potential plant-based eaters in-store.

PRESENTERS

Adriane Little

As Marketing Manager for Earth Balance, a division of Boulder Brands, Inc., Adriane Little works to bring better food to store shelves across the country. In her role at Earth Balance, Adriane is responsible for managing brand communications, digital strategy, new product development, community involvement efforts, cause marketing initiatives, and furthering the plant-based diet message. Adriane is passionate about the natural products industry, and prior to her time at Boulder Brands she founded AspireTrue Communications to help natural and organic companies realize their marketing and communication goals. She has also worked as a natural product review writer, has experience in the advertising industry, and has spent time with preventive health organizations, including Weight Watchers and the American Institute for Preventive Medicine. Adriane has served with many local business networking groups, including Naturally Boulder, Boulder 2140, and Women in Natural.

A Colorado-transplant, Adriane not only enjoys all things natural and organic, but takes pleasure in living near the mountains. An avid skier, hiker and aspiring yogi, Adriane feels at home in the front-range (and its many natural food stores). In her free-time, you will find her drinking tea, reading a book, exploring the local farmers market and cooking up some brown rice.

Sheryl Marchetti

As Senior Director, Customer Marketing, for Boulder Brands, Inc., Sheryl acts as a liaison between the company’s marketing and sales teams and develops specific marketing and merchandising programs for key retailers, often working in close collaboration with the retail accounts.  Sheryl works with retailers to understand their various marketing vehicles, including custom databases and in-store signage, and develops brand-specific programs that can be targeted to the appropriate group of shoppers in the most impactful way.  She has a depth of brand marketing experience having worked on large brands such as Smart Balance and Enfamil.  In her work at Mead Johnson Nutritional on the Enfamil brand, she developed educational tools for health care professionals as well as consumer marketing materials.  She has also worked in a variety of cross-functional areas including medical sales, finance, market research and new product development, giving her a well-rounded perspective on business opportunities.

With the heavy travel schedule required for Sheryl’s job, she enjoys living in southern Indiana and traveling to frequently meet with her peers in Boulder, Colorado, as well as key retail customers scattered across the country.  In her free time, Sheryl enjoys running 5K’s with her family and playing with her puppy.
