RDBA to Host Virtual Conference in September

July 8, 2020

As the only professional organization committed to fostering the continuing business education and career development of current and future retail dietitians, the Retail Dietitians Business Alliance is hosting RDBA Virtual: What You Need to Know. The event will be held for three hours on each of three days – September 22, 23, and 24th and is exclusive to retail dietitians.

Just as 9-11 forever changed airline travel, the coronavirus pandemic will have long-lasting impacts on how consumers procure and consume food. RDBA’s virtual event will help retail dietitians ensure they are positioned for leadership in this new era. Data suggests three significant changes in consumer behavior coming out of the pandemic are eating at home, online grocery shopping, and staying healthy and well, and no one within the retail setting is more equipped to lead at the intersection of these shopper trends than dietitians, shaping the focus of this virtual event.

State-of-the-art software will be used for the event to provide a true conference feel. Retail RDs can participate in LIVE keynote and breakout sessions, engage with vendors through one-on-one meetings and a virtual trade show, and attend networking sessions with other retail RDs and on topics that conference participants select. Additionally, results of the annual RDBA member survey will be presented during this virtual experience. Continuing education credits will be provided for dietetics professionals.

For now, hold your calendar for three amazing days of education, networking and more. Registration information will be available later this month. Please contact annette@retaildietitians.com with any questions.
