The Retail Dietitians Business Alliance, in partnership with House Foods, is pleased to announce the launch of our latest EduTrac® – Plant-based in the Context of Healthy Eating. EduTracs are designed as an online education tool, allowing retail dietitians to review them at a time and place that works best for you.
Today, plant-forward eating isn’t limited to vegans and vegetarians as more consumers adopt flexible eating habits. The trend of including more plant-based meals in weekly routines is on the rise. In fact, the U.S. plant-based food industry as a whole generated a staggering $4.9 billion in revenue in 2016, and a survey from the Vegetarian Resource Group found that 36% of respondents use meat alternatives.
The Plant-based in the Context of Healthy Eating EduTrac positions retail RDs to leverage shopper interest in plant-centric meals, growing sales and potentially benefitting consumer health.
