Professional Development Session Recordings Available from RDBA Virtual Experience

As the only organization committed specifically to the career development of dietitians working in the retail environment, this topic was a key focus of the RDBA Virtual Experience held earlier this month. Recordings of three sessions designed to help retail RDs advance their careers are now available to all RDBA members. Below are links to and summaries of each session.
- Intrapreneurship presented by John Wilson, PhD, MBA of Drexel University. A new term to many, intrapreneurship is when an employee acts like an entrepreneur with the company. This session discusses the benefits of intrapreneurships and how to execute against this idea in a work setting.
- Career Advancement Opportunities at Retail. Today, Elisa Sloss, RD, LD, is the Vice President of Health Markets and Dietitians at Hy-Vee, Inc. She started her Hy-Vee career as an in-store dietitian, and during her presentation, shares her story of movement up the ranks as well as tips on how to move up the corporate ladder at retail.
- The Retail RD Role in E-commerce. One way to advance your career at retail is to take on new challenges and special assignments. E-commerce is a rapidly growing area of opportunity for retail RDs, and during this facilitated discussion group, event attendees share insights into work in this space.
