Labeling Bill Calls for Greater Accuracy
If passed, a new food labeling bill would make clear which foods are permitted to bear descriptors like “natural” and “healthy.” The Food Labeling Modernization Act of 2013 also proposes to create a standard front-of-pack nutrition labeling system for all food products that wish to bear nutrition labeling.
