At this time of year, apples are top of mind in the produce department. While it’s likely you have great familiarity with apples, there’s more to this category than meets the eye. In fact, there are more than 2,500 U.S. apple varietals.
To ensure retail dietitians are well versed in the apple category, RDBA has partnered with Stemilt, a family-owned grower, packer and shipper of apples based in Washington State, to bring their Apple College to you in our hot off the press EduTrac® titled All About Them Apples. After moving through this online course, you’ll come out knowing more about apples than you ever thought possible. You’ll learn the various varieties of apples and how apples are grown and harvested as well as the nutritional value of apples and other common apple questions that Stemilt receives.
