Applications Now Open: RDBA Announces Retail RD of the Year Award!

No matter where consumers get their nutrition and health information, it all converges as they stand in the aisle of the grocery store making a decision on products to purchase.  This is why health promotion in the retail space is ideal for impacting consumer purchase behavior and what makes the work of retail dietitians vital to the retail business as well as public health.  Many of you are breaking new ground, impacting purchase and consumption of healthier products, and showing that health can positively impact the retail business.  

To recognize the work that you do, the Retail Dietitians Business Alliance is announcing the Retail RD of the Year Award.  This award recognizes a retail dietitian who shows leadership in utilizing business skills and industry knowledge to positively impact consumer behavior change through the retail sector.  The award will be presented at the FMI Connect show in Chicago from June 6-10, 2014, and complimentary travel and registration will be provided to the award winner.  The RDBA Advisory Board and Executive Committee will review all applications and determine the award winner.

Applications for the 2014 Retail Dietitian of the Year Award are now being accepted.  You may nominate a colleague and self-nominations are also accepted. The application deadline is midnight on March 14, 2014.
