As you continue to build your professional brand, rewards can effectively contribute to your story as well as showcase your contributions to your retail company. If you've launched an innovative program or created significant sales impact at your retailer this past year, you're an ideal candidate for the RDBA Retail Dietitian. You can also nominate a colleague for this award.
This award recognizes a retail dietitian who shows leadership in utilizing business skills and industry knowledge to positively impact consumer behavior change through the retail sector. The award will be presented at the Progressive Grocer Retail Dietitian Symposium in Anaheim, CA from June 3-5, 2017, and complimentary travel and registration will be provided to the award winner. The RDBA Advisory Board and Executive Committee will review all applications and determine the award winner.
Past award winners include Stephanie Schultz, MSM, RDN, CD, Wellness & Corporate Communications Director at Festival Foods, Julie McMilin, RD, LD, Assistant Vice President of Retail Dietetics for Hy-Vee, and Stacy Bates, MS, RDN, LD, CDE, H-E-B Nutrition Services Program Manager.
You may nominate a colleague for the award and self-nominations are also accepted. In the application, it is essential to focus on how the retail RD has leveraged business skills and industry knowledge to positively impact public health and the retail business. The application has been simplified this year, now only requiring one letter of recommendation.
